EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

EMDR is a powerful and rapid treatment for single traumas/losses, negative memories and beliefs, performance and creativity enhancement, fear/panic/phobias, and resource strengthening. This therapy promotes a reprocessing of information about past, present, and anticipated future experience in order to open new neural pathways to new possibilities and accomplishments.

With my mind-brain-body-spirit-as-self framework, I utilize basic and advanced EMDR applications and protocols. EMDR’s accelerated power can be combined with other methods, approaches, and steps to add to the effectiveness of psychotherapy or coaching for specific goals.

Examples of specific goals:

  • Trauma, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)
  • Acute Stress Disorder, Recent Traumas, Losses, Accidents
  • Complex trauma, complex PTSD
  • Empowerment
  • Resource development, self strength skills, dyadic resourcing
  • Performance, confidence, and creativity enhancement
  • More complex panic, phobias, anxieties
  • Depression, manic depression, and attachment problems
  • Eating disorders
  • Weight and exercise/stretching issues
  • Substance and Feeling State addictions (goals, triggers, traumas, relapse prevention)
  • Many Brain-MInd-Body problems, where there is a role for brain-mind-as-healer or brain-mind-as-slayer/stressor.
  • Early trauma (nonverbal or body- and brainstem- held memories)
  • Dissociative dissorders
  • Headaches and other pain issues
  • Accelerated work for stressful, challenging, or performance situations
  • Clearing and resetting basic emotional and motivational circuits
  • Knowing who you are (identity) and self development. Right brain or right hemisphere repair.
